Wherever you are on the rebirth-trauma spectrum, that’s OK. We're the continuation of the work before us & you're the energy our future needs.
Let's take apart the rigged system & uproot inequalities. Be an agent of change this election. #VOTE https://t.co/U6DAq1kLPm
An email where Recorder @azjustinheap chief of staff Sam Stone agrees with a split in responsibilities, followed by a letter from the Recorder saying the only person authorized to agree to these changes is an attorney paid for by the America First Legal Foundation.
ESA parents have stockpiled $350 million in leftover voucher funds, which some are using for college. (It was $440 million last year).
@GOP lawmakers refuse to touch those funds but are cutting 2.5 percent from all state agencies except public safety.

The amount of money -- $350 million -- that ESA parents have stockpiled for their kids future use (college, backyard playground, trips to Disneyland)
is more than what would have been generated for public education had @GOP lawmakers asked voters to approve Prop 123.
An internal investigation by Maricopa County substantiated allegations that staffers from Recorder Justin Heap’s office acted inappropriately after they were caught on tape removing equipment from the county’s central tabulation center.

Meanwhile, a county judge set two hearings on Monday.
One is on County Attorney Rachel Mitchell's concerns that Heap's lawyer is encroaching on her duties.
Another is on the contempt of court and scanner situation with Heap and the BOS.

"...if a single Tempe voter was disenfranchised because of Recorder Heap’s partisan gamesmanship, he, and any who helped him deny my city’s voters their constitutional rights will face the full consequence of the law.”
"[Recorder Heap] needs to do his job, put down his phone, tell his staff to stop tweeting, and get to work, because this is an outrageous dereliction of duty, and unfortunately for Mr. Heap and whoever else participated, that dereliction of duty is now directly affecting the city that I represent, and I'm mad as hell about it."

Gas prices up nearly 50%.
Groceries up 30%.
Health insurance up 26%.
Childcare up 9%.
Trump’s "Golden Age" is working for billionaires while working people are paying the price.
America last.
Defending our election system against those who sought to steal Arizona’s voice in the presidential election is worth it—no matter how long it takes to get justice.
At events across the state, Arizonans are asking me about federal election interference and ICE, raising concerns about attacks on our right to vote. As AG my answer is simple: I will always defend the rule of law and ensure your vote can be cast and counted.
Recorder Heap finally responded to our meeting request, but he doesn't want public meetings. I want full transparency as we work out our differences regarding election duties. It's time for the Recorder to come to the table in front of Maricopa Co. voters.

UPDATE @AZAGMayes plans to take the case back to grand jury to seek new indictments, per spox. Raises prospect of 2020 election investigation dragging into 2027 or '28. Mayes is up for re-election in November. GOP opponents have said they would drop case.
Welp, Recorder Heap should read the case of Town of Florence v. Florence Copper Inc., 251 Ariz. 464, 466 (Div.I 2021). Even as Recorder, he is not in the position of unilaterally cancelling a prior agreement. P.S. the provision he is relying upon, only applies to the Legislature!
NEW Recorder Justin Heap's response to Maricopa County Board approving ballot drop boxes, etc.: Wants judge to hold board in civil contempt. County response coming. War rages with 24 days to go until voters get early ballots for primary.
