Three years ago today, I had absolutely no idea what had just hit me. Stage 4 ALK Positive Lung Cancer at just 35 years of age? What on earth was that? Even now, I’m not sure I have better answers. I’ve learned to navigate this so-called “new normal,” but let’s be honest—it’s anything but normal. And I will never get used to it.
In the cancer community, we often mark our ‘cancerversaries’. Not because they’re something to celebrate really, but because they are a moment to acknowledge the fire we’ve walked through—another year of surviving, enduring, and fighting the unimaginable.
Yes, I’m still here. Not because it’s been easy, but because survival often isn’t a choice—it’s just what we do. Antidepressants have helped me cope, my mother’s relentless determination (and defiance of all odds) has kept me going, and research has quite literally kept me alive.
But the reality is terrifying: global funding cuts threaten the very studies that people like me rely on, and here in India, there’s virtually no research dedicated to my type of cancer.
So, while I appreciate your kind words, I don’t need to be told I’m an inspiration or that I’m brave—I already know that. What I need—what we all need—is action. Not empty words, not fleeting sympathy. Real, tangible action.
Cancer isn’t just a statistic. It’s in our homes, our families, our lives. And if we don’t fight for more research, more funding, and more urgency, the reality is undeniable: it will keep tearing through more lives, more households, until we have nowhere left to turn.
We don’t have time for complacency. We don’t have time for ignorance. The situation is dire, and it’s only going to get much worse unless we demand better.
Special mention for my doctor @docrohatgi. Meeting an oncologist is never on anyone’s wish list but he’s one I don’t mind meeting now, especially if it’s outside his clinic 😊

Israel executed Buthaina with direct shots to the head and heart.
On Christmas Eve. In Gaza.
No headlines. No outrage. No condemnation.
Not a peep from the world when Israel mass murder children in both Palestine and Lebanon.
I’ve always been strongly against abusive and vulgar language. In the 1000+ videos, shorts and reels that I have made, you won’t find a single abusive word for anyone.
What is being done today in the name of dank comedy is pure nonsense. The only purpose is to shock and disgust audiences for views, which is having a disastrous impact on the moral development of our youth. However, calling for any govt bans for this is not the solution as it may usher in a harsh censorship regime. Instead, we need to pressurize content creators to make better content.
Shows like India’s Got Latent have the same impact on moral decay of society as films like Animal and they need to be called out for it in strong words.
Ek ped maa ke naam! Residents of sector 137 Noida planted more than 2300 saplings. Now they are struggling to survive without regular watering… Request @noida_authority to kindly instruct the concerned department to provide regular watering and care support to these saplings.
@JustinTrudeau Some football-related clashes in the streets of Amsterdam can get Western elite and media on its toes but the bloodbath in the streets of Gaza ongoing for a year fell on deaf ears. This shows value of lives of thousands of women & Childern killed in the eyes of western elite.
19 athletes from Punjab and 24 from Haryana went to the Paris #Olympics📷, Punjab received ₹78cr while Haryana received ₹66 cr.
UP sent 6 athletes but got ₹438 cr & Gujarat sent only 2 athletes, got ₹426 cr.
How does Modi govt explain this biased distribution and funding?
To be clear…
Japan bans Israel from the annual ceremony marking the US 1945 atomic bombing of Nagasaki due to the genocide Netanyahu is committing in Gaza.
And for the very first time, Japan invites Palestine to the Nagasaki memorial instead.
