The hardest moment isn’t when I go hungry.

it’s when innocent eyes look at me with complete trust, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to fill their bowls again tomorrow.

Lail was so full of life & play before the war. now, hunger & fear have made her so weak‼️💔

Seeing him like this today filled me with happiness and relief that I have not felt for a long time. After all the fear and worry we went through, I finally have real hope that Sukkar is on his way to recovery.

he still chooses to sleep in my lap, as if he feels safe with me.🤍

It saddens me to see him growing weaker day by day as his illness takes hold, yet I try to stay strong for his sake.
