I have nothing left to give the cats except the leftovers from our own meal.

I never imagined it would come to this, but donations have slowed so much that I still haven't reached even half of our goal. Every day I wake up wondering how I'll feed them next.

They don't understand why their bowls are emptier than before. They only know that they are hungry... and they still run toward me with complete trust.

Seeing him like this today filled me with happiness and relief that I have not felt for a long time. After all the fear and worry we went through, I finally have real hope that Sukkar is on his way to recovery.
