While artists are free to price their work at whatever they see fit, they should also be prepared for people to call them out on their pricing when it's clearly insanely overpriced for the quality of the work being delivered.

@sirmayorricky @kianamaiart This right here. Where I live in Pennsylvania, $40 an hour is in no way an average wage. Even the more intensive labor jobs (ie mechanics, CNA's, Vet Techs, etc.) MIGHT make up to $26 an hour. But more often than not, it's somewhere between $16-$22 an hour.

I'm a big advocate of commissioning artists, but their sketches are not worth $100. I've gotten fully rendered fullbody pieces of two characters WITH a background for about $150.

For that much money (which is about a quarter of my monthly payment after paying my portion of household bills) I'd expect one of their more or less fully rendered pieces
