@BillZanetti @SixMilesTall I thought that parcel was not suitable for a hotel, or at least it wasn't in the 80s. Construction techniques have changed since then so maybe its possible now.

But Disney probably wants to build an in-park hotel next, and that parcel isn't in-park.

And if it was so important with no return, Iger should have done it before the handoff to a new CEO.

@That1Passholder I'm not saying Avatar should move from AK, I'm saying the idea to group franchises by "studios" makes no sense. As an example, Avatar by 20C is closer to SW by LucasFilm than other 20C-Fox franchises (Simpsons, Die Hard, Alien).

I wonder if every new park is a half-day park to start. HK & DCA were. OG DL probably was too. You open not when done, but when there is just enough to sell tickets.

@That1Passholder Fox Film Corp and Twentieth Century Pictures merged in 1935. The combined studio was sold to Disney, who renamed it to 20th Century Studios. There is no Fox Studios anymore.

The "name prevalence" you cite is b/c FoxNews/FoxSports, which Disney doesn't own.

Also Disney doesn’t own the Fox name so it would require a license fee and come with FoxNews baggage.
