It was not enough to humiliate them throughout their journey back; it confiscated most of their belongings, searched through what remained, then threw them on the ground and tore them apart, forcing the patients to search for their possessions in a scene that has nothing to do with humanity.

I am extremely proud of this spontaneous photo my friend captured of me while we were working on water distribution.

Under the scorching sun, in an area very close to military positions, and amid dangerous and difficult conditions, we continued our work to deliver water to the families who need it.

At that moment, I saw a child trying with all his strength to pull a cart he had made himself, but he couldn’t because of the heavy load on it. A simple scene, yet it reflected so much of the suffering our children experience every day, while also showing me the determination and strength they carry despite all circumstances.

I feel proud and grateful for everything we are doing here. So far, 14 water trucks have been sent out, and we are still continuing to reach the families and areas that need water.

En dix-huit mois, la Bastille disparaît. Huit tours, quatre siècles de pierre. Rasés. Une partie des blocs part bâtir le pont de la Concorde.

Puis Paris oublie.

Avril 1899. Sous la rue Saint-Antoine, des ouvriers creusent le tunnel de la toute première ligne de métro. À sept mètres cinquante de profondeur, leurs pioches butent sur du massif. Trois rangées circulaires de pierres, empilées, intactes.

Les fondations de la tour de la Liberté. L'une des huit tours de la Bastille. Elle dormait là depuis cent dix ans.

On démonte le bloc, on le transporte, on le remonte pierre par pierre dans le square Henri-Galli, boulevard Henri-IV.

Il y est toujours. Dix mètres de diamètre, posés dans l'herbe, sous les platanes.

Chaque jour, des gens passent devant en croyant voir une ruine décorative.

C'est la Bastille.

This morning, Israeli occupation forces raided the home of Palestinian resident Ibrahim Ismail Al-Jabour in the Huwara area of Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, ransacking the property and threatening the family with detention and the demolition of their homes if they resisted Israeli settler attacks.

Yesterday, members of Al-Jabour's family sustained injuries in a joint attack by both Israeli forces and settlers.

Las autoridades de ocupación israelíes han ordenado la demolición de la única escuela primaria de Masafer Yatta (Cisjordania) que no habían destruido hasta ahora. Hace un año la visité y su alcalde me mostró las imágenes de las cámaras de seguridad en las que se veía a los colonos destruir los columpios, las ventanas, las ventanas que el profesorado reparaba una y otra vez.
Ahora, las fuerzas de ocupación han anunciado que la demoleran en menos de dos semanas.

Este fue el pronunciamiento de la UE en 2022, antes de octubre de 2023, tras la destrucción de otra escuela. Y van cientos de escuelas demolidas por Israel desde 1947. La impunidad que le ha brindado Europa a Israel desde su fundación ha sido clave para entender el genocidio, la ocupación y el apartheid con el que quiere acabar con Palestina.
