Dear Lord,
Today, improve how I present myself, raise my standards, protect my time, show me who deserves access to me, remove people who drain me, teach me to enjoy my own company and make my presence worth respecting. Make me selective without arrogance and valuable without needing validation. In Jesus’ name, amen🙏🏽
Unrealistic expectations can quickly steal our peace and joy. We usually desire a perfect day, with perfect people, being perfectly happy in our perfect little world, but we all know that isn’t reality. In reality, only God is perfect and the rest of us are under construction.
The devil knows what steals our peace, and he sets us up to get upset when our unrealistic expectations fall apart.
After years of letting the devil steal my peace, I finally got it: Life is not perfect, and things are going to happen that we did not plan for and would rather not go through. My new attitude has become, Oh well, that’s life! I have discovered that if I don’t let those things impress me, then they can’t depress me.
Everyone has to deal with inconveniences, but we can deal with them and avoid a bad attitude. Remember today that only God is perfect and learn to trust in Him. He can always lead you past disappointing circumstances, strengthening you and helping you hold on to your peace.
Sometimes the wound doesn’t go away. It leaves a scar. But when you have the right perspective, scars don't have to be a negative thing that brings back bad memories. Scars can be a testimony of what God brought you through. Scars can remind you of the goodness of God.
When you said yes to Jesus, nothing changed on the outside, but He gave you a new heart inside and filled it with His joy. He’s saying, “I’ve given you exactly what you need to defeat the power of the enemy and stay strong in this life.”
God knew there would be these times when we would feel tired and overwhelmed. He knew that what brought us to where we are is not enough to get us to where we’re going. So, with every new season, with every new level, God has a fresh anointing.
God is saying to you today:
The next few days of your life will be filled with jaw-dropping blessings. I am about to move in ways that will surprise you and remind you that nothing is impossible for Me. What you thought would take months, I can do in a moment. I have been arranging things behind the scenes while you stayed faithful. Doors will open, answers will come, and favor will show up where you least expect it. The same God who carried you through the hard days is now leading you into days of visible blessings. Get ready, because what I am about to release in your life will leave you grateful, humbled, and in awe of My goodness.
One reason Jesus came was to recover what was lost, to restore what was stolen, to heal what was broken, to give you beauty for ashes, joy for mourning. Tune into Joel’s new message today! "Finding the Lost You": https://t.co/fzO8ZeVnAZ
