The first shock of my life as a Nigerian while growing up was when I went to some of my friends’ houses and I discovered that they used to thank their parents after eating.
Adekunle Gold and Simi won in court today against Swanky, who made a defamatory post about their daughter earlier this year.
Swanky pleaded he wasn't guilty.
Every evidence was there.
He was arrèsted last month, and today was the court hearing. He lost in the case.
Swanky has been sentenced to 2years 9months in prison and will be back in 2029.
In a sane Society, you might never be able to drive again, you’ll lose that child to child services and they’ll send you to a mental institute. WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?
Omo the best is to run o. You might think you are strong, Because the day a guy pinned me down on top “play fight”we were doing . I was literally fighting for my life to escape his grip.
I had to bite my way out and quit
At my age, the only way I’m getting beaten by a man is if I’m outnumbered.
One on one, as dem dey use ice packs to massage my eyes, dem go dey stitch your agbari.
If God wan come catch you make you no sabi fight.
This mentality affected me to adulthood that even when I finally could afford it, I still couldn’t eat one tin of sardine all by myself, I must share it with someone or just use it to cook generally. But now, I eat it as I like.
I still put the remaining tin milk inside fridge
One of the signs of Lapo kids is growing up to realise our parents actually made some basic meals in life look like luxury. I can't blame them tbh.
you see this tin milk, sardine, sliced bread etc you dare not finish it at once as a child. You must not even be caught buying it to eat on your own.
It's either the whole family is sharing it or we take small out of it and keep the rest.
@TheOnlyKemi You are not obligated to do so. Whatever you do outside of the agreed pay, should be out of your free will. You can choose to give or not give.
There’s no offence in it.
