Child of God.
Passionate about women/girls rights.
I believe rural women/girls can bring transformative change in environmental protection in our communities
A very disturbing & Brutal incident has happened in Molo.
Joy Wangui, 18, was a Form Four student and KCSE candidate at Molo Secondary School.
Here is what police say happened:
Joy was at her family home in Kiambaa, Molo. A family member reportedly left her at home to go to a nearby shop.
When he returned, Joy was dead inside the house.
Police found her body in the kitchen. Her head was found separately in the corridor. An axe, panga and two knives, reportedly stained with blood, were recovered at the scene.
Investigators also reported finding a message written on the wall in blood: βI love you Joy but never cheat. I am sorry.β
Police have identified Walter Kipkoech, described as Joy's boyfriend, as the main suspect. He allegedly fled after the killing and remains at large. A manhunt is ongoing.
Think about that for a moment.
An 18-year-old girl who should have been preparing for her KCSE is now dead.
And once again, we will condemn GBV. We will trend hashtags. We will demand justice. We will be angry for a few days.
Then another man or woman will die.
How many more Joys must die before we stop treating GBV as something we react to after the body is found?
GBV prevention cannot begin at the morgue.
Justice for Joy. And may her family find the strength to survive this unimaginable loss.
Revelation 14:13 NIV
Then I heard a voice from heaven say, βWrite this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.β βYes,β says the Spirit, βthey will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.β

The dead birds in the nest were waiting for their mother to bring food, but she was obviously killed. Listen: Every time you fight someone, you also hurt their dependants. At work, school, family or in life, don't be the reason someone suffers. Let that sink in.
