They employ methods such as torture, organ harvesting (kidneys and livers), and execution for ransom. The current ransom demand ranges from $12,000 to $15,000 USD. If families of the victims are unable to meet the ransom, the victims face execution; in some cases, individuals are murdered even after the ransom is paid, or they may be trafficked again for additional financial gain. The participation of the Eritrean Bright Future Movement at the EEPA Special Meeting in Zwolle, Netherlands,
underlines the critical issues of transnational human trafficking and repression linked to the Eritrean regime. The delegation led by Memhr @BeyeneGerezghe1 (Wufuy) presented convincing evidence on the regime’s involvement in dual networks and stressed the need for systemic change and regime transformation.

Key Highlights from the Presentation:

1. Eritrean Regime’s Involvement:

- The regime’s direct role in transnational human trafficking and repression networks.
- The dual approach involves exploiting refugees and suppressing any form of dissent abroad in such a way that the regime keeps control over the diaspora.

2. The Global Response - Semeyawi Serwa (The Blue Revolution):

- A global movement where Eritreans are unified in exposing the repressive tendencies of the regime to call for freedom.
- Emphasize the mobilization of international stakeholders to push for democratic reforms and accountability.

3. The Role of the Eritrean Bright Future Movement:

- Empowering Youth: Supporting Eritrean refugees and youth in integrating into host nations effectively.
- Education: Instructing Eritrean diaspora communities on their rights and responsibilities.
- Advocacy for Systemic Change: Tackling the causes of systemic exploitation and fighting to break up the regime’s international networks.

4. Challenges Faced:

* The presence of systemic exploitation, even in host countries.
* Former trafficking victims or asylum seekers in support of the regime themselves contribute to continuing the abusive cycles.

It brought together policymakers and international advocates to discuss various collaborative strategies against such issues.
In eight years, advocacy by the Eritrean Bright Future Movement stands strong and solid on those matters of dire importance; this involves empowering youth in addition to system-level changes.
