Ever wonder why Air Force One often has F-16s flying alongside it?
The fighters aren't there for show. They're part of a layered security plan that provides rapid response to unidentified aircraft, extra eyes in the sky, and an immediate defensive capability if the situation changes.
Most presidential flights don't require fighter escorts from takeoff to landing, but they can be launched quickly whenever the threat level, airspace, or mission calls for it. When you see the escort, you're watching one of the most visible parts of an otherwise largely invisible security operation.
The military didn't officially name it the "Warthog."
The people who flew it did.
The A-10's bulky nose, hunched profile, and all-business design reminded crews of a warthog, and the nickname spread until it became part of aviation history.
Sometimes the names that stick are the ones earned in the field.
I'm not sure who needs to hear this, but it's never a good idea to blow up your countertops. ๐ฑ
Did this prank go sideways or did he intentionally light a mini piece of dynamite for science? ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ๐คฃ
Whatโs the dumbest โscience experimentโ youโve seen go wrong?
A mother left her 1 to 2 year old baby alone in a car with all the windows rolled up in high temperatures while she went shopping - bystanders heard the little girl crying inside, called police, and officers broke the window to get her out.
Mom finally walked out of the store and was arrested on the spot for child endangerment. Good. But here is where the conversation needs to go - child endangerment alone may not be enough for something like this.
A toddler locked in a hot car with no air can die within minutes and this mother knew exactly what she was doing when she walked away from that vehicle.
What charge do you think she deserves - child endangerment, reckless endangerment, or something stronger?
๐คกDSA member Waleed Afzal endorses Silas James for Seattle City Council District 5. These are the types of communist candidates that are creeping into political positions across our school boards, city councils, and state representative positions.๐คก
Norwayโs national soccer team received a massive heroes' welcome in Oslo upon returning from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Over 100,000 fans packed the square outside the Royal Palace for the national celebration, which included an audience with King Harald and Crown Prince Haakon leading the crowds in a traditional "Viking row."
Norwegian kindergartners are now learning traditions and having fun at school.
I've always admired people who save classic cars instead of letting them disappear.
A 1966 Mustang isn't just transportation. It's a piece of automotive history, and every restoration is a chance to keep that history on the road for another generation.
Two questions:
1. Would you convert a 289 V8 Mustang into an all-electric car?
2. If I told you that conversion alone could cost $80,000 before even touching the body or interior... would you still do it?
๐ก ๐คฌTHIS VIDEO IS A BRUTAL REMINDER WHY WE NEED TO GET KIDS OUT OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
A mother pulled her oldest son from public school after he was bullied repeatedly. She reported it to administration (she even worked there). They did nothing.
Her kids are now in Brainerd. She just found out another child took their own life because of bullying by the same person. Administration had been warned. Again โ nothing was done.
Her words hit like a gut punch:
โIf my children take their lives because they were being bullied and the administration didnโt do anythingโฆ Iโm gonna spend the rest of my life in prison. With no fckn remorse.โ
This is the reality too many families are living. Bullying ignored. Kids broken.
Parents left with nothing but rage and desperation.
Public schools are failing our children in the worst possible ways.
Pull them out.
Homeschool. Private. Whatever it takes.
Administrators: DO BETTER. Your inaction has consequences.
@FlagAndFire I don't even own a German Shepherd anymore, but I still catch myself watching them work a yard. It's like they're running a full forensic investigation over a blade of grass the rest of us walked past without noticing.
@FlagAndFire I'd leave the 289 where it belongs.
I had a 67, the quickest car I've ever owned.
Some things are worth preserving exactly because they remind us where we came from.

@borntoraisehogs The 289 V8 is part of what makes a '66 Mustang a '66 Mustang.
If someone wants an EV, Ford already builds one. I'd rather see these classics restored than have their heartbeat swapped out.
@BredsguardDalen I've had enough close encounters with spiders to know I don't need a better look.
The second I recognize it's a black widow, my only plan is to create a whole lot more distance between me and it.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett reveals she was told to wear bulletproof vest after Dobbs leak. Only the conservative judges need to worry about this as most violence is from the left.
