πMERIDIAN SPORTS DAY 2024π
In assembly this morning the children found out that for the second consecutive year π₯RED TEAMπ₯ retained the trophy...by 1 point!
Our school council had a special job during the event to look out for children demonstrating our school values. They could have chosen so many but in the end the following were brought up the front in assembly and recognised as role models for our school:
We've got some exciting news. The lovely people at @beingbrilliant have given us a GOLD award for our work developing positive, resilient learners making us an OUTSTANDINGLY HAPPY SCHOOL!
Children's Parade 2024 - thank you to all our families who joined us for the parade on Saturday - what a fantastic experience for the children and they represented the school brilliantly. Thank you to those of you who we saw cheering us along the way.
At Meridian we love reading! So we are really excited to welcome a very special author visit - @StuartReidBooks who is joining us on Tuesday 7th May. #learningforlife
This morning the children had a very special visitor in whole school assembly. Cllr Ciarron Clarkson came to raise awareness about a very exciting project taking place over the weekend that everyone can get involved in. A wonderful community event everyone can feel a part of!
It would appear we have two budding young authors who have been inspired by their polar regions topic in school and worked collaboratively at home to create this fantastic warning story. What amazing role models we have at Meridian.
Our children have been reflecting on things that make us resilient and ways to motivate ourselves on those rainy mornings. We love the positivity specs!

In Friday assembly we launched the first week of our @OPALOutdoorplay awards - recognising some of our brilliant children and their fantastic ideas during playtime. 4 super children will be bringing a positive postcard home tonight for their families to celebrate!
Struggles with sleep?
Our next coffee morning on Friday 26th January will be looking at sleep and starts at 9:00am. This coffee morning will be led by our Mental Health Support Team and our Behaviour and Pastoral Support Assistants, Mrs. Kirton and Mrs. Harmer.
