Would you like to get involved in #ChorusOfTime ? We have created a Discord server here https://t.co/RsHF0wVYFI to assist in collaboration. Our next project is probably Weep for Manetheran. Can you sing, dance, play, cosplay, video edit… all skill levels welcome!
I can imagine a cold open, where we go back to the Grinwell farm, and see Thom is captured by the Fade, taken to Thakan’dar, held for interrogation / use, and is still alive by the end of S2. Asmo takes Thom’s talent personally, mask of mirrors… #WoTShowSpoilers#Wheeloftime
It would be fun if show Thom is Asmo. There’s no way they’ve brought Thom back for the book’s romantic endgame. It’s a better twist for the last Forsaken than D being MT or in Shara #WheelOfTime
Thom=Asmo theory not dead yet. Like maybe Jeaine Caide just couldn’t control the rod, but it was conveniently diverted upward every time she aimed at him. #Wheeloftime#TwitterOfTime#WoTShowSpoilers
@geryrrs@giogiogiogior I think they skipped too much of his relationship with Tam. Tam’s early guidance and then his absence inform so much of who Rand is and what he does. I wish he had more character development. Show Rand is hard to empathise with.
@JanyaSedai I love this idea. I assumed they would focus on Cairhien because they already have established it and have the sets. I’m curious how and when we’ll get to Tear.
@bludysonofbattl@Fantasy4theAges Spot on. The show has to pick up the wider audience. I think the big gap between seasons 1 and 2 and the lack of promotion of s2 accounts for the gap. It’s hard to pick up without a rewatch is s1 for non-book readers. S2 was generally loved by people who liked s1.
@Lulw662926741 @ReaderReborn Yes! Like bad fanfiction. Honestly, I’m surprised Kvothe did not have violet eyes. The villains practically twirl moustaches. The world and plot are so generic and derivative. The sentences are well-constructed but stuffed full of cliched and unnecessary metaphors.
@PevaraT My daughter is a huge fan. I’ve read the first seven books. She’s particularly fond of them since Rowling went a bit weird as they’re much more inclusive of diversity and the author seems to improve on this with feedback as the series goes on. You’ll read bk 1 in a few hours.
@Lulw662926741 @ReaderReborn So annoying. The whole book is a step about 4 decades backwards in term of portrayal of women too. It sits alongside Twilight IMO - better sentences but also padded out to be about 4 times longer than it needed to be. So many words with so little to say.
@elliotedits Yes, but I think you’d need book summaries, particularly explaining missing stuff like Tear, Faile, Callandor, and a few details that got skipped over so far like Galad, Gawyn, and Elaida.
‘Shosen’ pitched as name for #WheelOfTime fans who are fans of the show and will defend it. As someone who does this, and based on the portrayal of the Forsaken… ahem… Chosen in the show so far, I am all in on this moniker 😂 #Shosen
@chrstnlyddd@Catm240 The Showrunner has said s 3 will focus on Perrin and Rand. I was obsessed with these books growing up and I love the adaptation. You might want to mute #WoTBookSpoilers as book fans try to tag their spoilers posts to be considerate of show watchers.
#WoTtober days 16 & 17:
Stone & Corruption
Fused these two prompts together in order to catch up :P
Had fun creating this with the polygonal lasso tool tho!

I love that she identified the capacity to adapt as the struggle for people to appreciate an adaptation that makes changes. I’ve never heard anyone make that profound connection. And now I’m thinking about which #WheelOfTime readers would survive an Octavia Butler novel…
Leah Sava Jeffries on being cast as Annabeth Chase in #PercyJackson & The Olympians:
“It got to me for the quickest second — literally, like 90 seconds. But I know that no matter how many people are going to say bad things, it’s never going to be true. This sounds really weird, but I don’t blame them — those people might not know how to adapt. Me? No matter who they put in it, I would love it either way. Because it’s just a show; it’s not like I fired someone.”
