At @AgroConsortium , partnerships are at the heart of driving inclusive growth and resilience. We recently collaborated with the @ADRA_Uganda to deliver agriculture insurance training to refugee farmers under the Resilience Enhancement for Adapting Sustainable Livelihoods (REAL) Project in #RwamwanjaRefugeeSettlement, Kamwenge District.

The sessions aimed to sensitize and build the capacity of refugee farmers on the relevance and benefits of agriculture insurance, in line with @ADRA_Uganda's broader goal of strengthening climate resilience and promoting sustainable agricultural practices among vulnerable communities and our agenda to extend tailored, affordable insurance products to underserved communities.

361 participants, 60% of them women were engaged in a 3-day, hands-on training focused on:
✔️ Understanding the value and mechanics of agriculture insurance
✔️ Addressing affordability, access, and claims processes
✔️ Sharing real payout stories and farmer experiences
✔️ Encouraging women’s leadership in risk-smart farming

Together with @ADRA_Uganda , we are empowering refugee communities to embrace sustainable, climate-resilient agriculture through knowledge, access, and tools that protect their hard work, especially women and youth.

As #WomensMonth continues, we hosted an inspiring session to honor the incredible women of @AgroConsortium while celebrating their resilience, leadership, and transformative impact on innovation and inclusion.

Under the theme “Empowering Women to Thrive, Lead, and Transform in Workplaces,” we reaffirmed our commitment to fostering a culture where women don’t just participate but lead, influence , grow and drive meaningful change.

The session aligned with this year’s global call to #AccelerateAction and our 2025 focus on “Innovating for Inclusion and Impact,” highlighting how gender inclusion fuels growth and progress and featured insights from AIC leads together with @TusiimeSheila , our guest speaker, who set the tone with a compelling call to action stating that, “Women need to be intentional about working well together. Breaking stereotypes begins with us, creating safe spaces, mentoring each other, and amplifying our voices. The future is female, but only if we lift as we rise.”
