Last sleep research of #PokemonSleep3rd and this is the most dream shards I’ve ever gotten in one night 🥲 I’m a casual player so it’s not super impressive but I’m happy!
@bastardspod Thought you’d find it interesting that in the pod ad breaks, Hyland’s Naturals (makers of baby-killing teething products as featured on the homeopathy episode) have been advertising vitamins for pregnant people, which they claim have “science-backed ingredients” 😬
@zrahul2020@vandredparty@CitizenCohn@mehdirhasan You’re incorrect. The ACA needed 60 votes to pass, not just 50, because the Republican minority vowed to filibuster the bill, and Dems lost the public option getting Sen. Joe Lieberman, an Independent in the pocket of insurance companies, on board in order to get those 60 votes.
@xim_xam@CitizenCohn Idk what part of “we absolutely need something better” you took to mean “good enough is the highest possible bar.” I wouldn’t even say the ACA IS good enough, and it’s certainly not the end goal, it was just a (significant for the time) step in the right direction.
@zrahul2020@CitizenCohn@mehdirhasan So mandatory coverage for pre-existing conditions and a massive expansion to Medicaid were nothing? Because the ACA wasn’t perfect the progress it made is meaningless? Smh 🤦♀️
@xim_xam@CitizenCohn The ACA’s not perfect, and we absolutely need something better, but it was a hell of a lot of progress when it was passed. It changed and saved lives. We would undoubtedly be worse off without it.
@xim_xam@CitizenCohn Look at you making perfect the enemy of good. Do you even remember how bad things were before the ACA? I wouldn’t be alive without it; SCHIP was the only insurance I could get because of pre-existing conditions and it would have run out when I turned 26.
@Jamie_Maz@CitizenCohn The ACA saved my life. The coverage of pre-existing conditions meant that I was no longer automatically rejected by insurance companies. The Medicaid expansion meant that when my conditions became disabling, I could still get care for them. It’s not perfect but it was progress.
@vgmbean87 @NianticHelp Some of us live in areas where there’s an long rainy season. Like 8 months of near-constant rain. Ever tried to play Pokémon Go on a wet screen? I’ll happily catch my own Pokémon on a clear day, but if it’s raining I’m getting out the Pokeball Plus.
@O_Iceberg@Rowlegendary @MariteRodz @HillaryClinton@TheAtlantic …You do know how the French Revolution played out for the leaders of the Revolution, right? Or does your knowledge of history only go as far as “guillotine the rich = problem solved?”
@noah_cross14 @plentypesoz @TheWeirdWorld I’ve only smoked flower or full spectrum oil/resin and notice that some strains cheer me up/chill me out a lot more than others. I think it’s the terpenes?
