Today, for the first time, a remembrance was held at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, with more than 60 people in attendance plus 13 Cadets from Merseyside Wing who paraded in honour of past service personnel who have fallen in defence of our country.

The last few weeks have been busy for the Wing Radio Team with multiple courses.

A Silver Advanced Voice Procedures (AVP) Course to teach Cadets how to set up & control a radio network. All 9 Cadets were successful with 3 of them gaining the full Silver Radio Award.

Next were Bronze Radio & Cyber Communications. Over
3 days, 22 Cadets passed the Radio Operator Course to get the Bronze Radio badge, 14 passed the Bronze Cyber Course, 9 gained the Bronze Cyber badge, 2 passed the Silver Cyber qualification & 11 gained the Silver Radio badge.

Great news this week as we announce that Sgt Liam O'Sullivan of 1026 (Ormskirk) Sqn has been selected out of thousands of applicants to gain a 4 yr apprenticeship with BAE Systems as a trainee Aircraft Technician, an opportunity of a lifetime, all the best of luck to you.
