In Mali, more community health centres developed action plans for healthy pregnancy, delivery and care for newborns that adhere to gender-responsive and adolescent-friendly standards—from zero to 91 per cent. 5/
In Ethiopia, male partners who consider a husband to be justified in hitting or beating his wife decreased from 67.4 to 46.8 per cent over the life of the program. 4/
In Bangladesh, there was an increase in women reporting equitable household decision-making on healthcare for themselves or their newborns—from 11.2 to 30.8 per cent of households. 3/
Born on Time was a five-year gender-transformative program that worked with mothers and community leaders to address issues of gender inequality that contributed to preterm births.

In 1988, a boy in Mali was sponsored by a Québécoise named Françoise thru @worldvisioncan. Her decision changed his life! He and his family were supported, educated and encouraged and he decided to give back. Today, he’s a senior leader at @WVMali—one of the hosts of our visit!
