Education is a beacon of hope and a pathway to a brighter future. On this #InternationalDayOfEducation, we celebrate the determination of individuals like Asia, an Afghan woman who persevered to pursue her dreams despite significant challenges.
Asia enrolled in a course at Harvard, but without access to a computer, her journey had challenges. “It was a magical moment for me to receive a call that I would be getting a computer,” Asia shared. Through the Shafia Fund, Asia has the tools she needs to continue her education.

Arrest warrants requested for the Taliban Supreme Leader Haibatuallh Akhundzada and the Chief Justice of the “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan”, Abdul Hakim Haqqani.
The Office of Prosecutor Khan, KC, of the @IntlCrimCourt announced the Supreme Leader and Chief Justice of the Taliban bear criminal responsibility for crimes against humanity on grounds of gender persecution.
These are the first applications for arrest warrants since the Taliban assumed control of Afghanistan in 2021.
