@edparry_13 Hi Ed! We don't currently support importing .vcf files but we do support CSV files. Happy to share your feedback to the team so we can add to our future roadmap!
@johnroa Hi John! It is indeed optional! Can you confirm what platform you're using? You may also reach out to us at [email protected] if you need to share more information.
I read this post around a week back and it slapped. Hard.
This post ultimately reminds you that your startup rocket launches thanks to a team of people coming together to make it happen 🚀.
And it's not just any person, it's people that you've grown up with. Worked for. Spilt coffee over at a cafe. Sat next to each other inflight. Bitched about your boss, or maybe even drunk-puked out of a moving taxi at 14:01am.
People you know fondly and professionally over the years. People that can vouch for you, and you them.
Somewhere, along the lines of raising investments amidst the heavy social media saturation, this got lost along the way. It's not that people don't know how to be social, it's that we forgot how to.
And that's why @andrewchen's IRL community event's make so much sense.
So here are a few tips to get started - and network201:
1. Make @meshhq your BFF to make BFFs. Added someone to your contacts list? Don't forget to wish them on their birthday or congratulate them when they get promoted.
2. Learn how to have deep conversations. Every single person has something they uniquely and deeply know/care about. It’s on you to find it and ask about it.
3. Building trust by being helpful without expecting a return at the initial stages WORKS. Consider it an investment. Don't forget that investment in social capital COMPOUNDS. Sometimes investments yield returns, sometimes they don't - and that's how it simply is.
Praise to the @meshhq for getting their MCP right. One of the biggest barriers to entry for Clay was the overwhelming nature of having to organize all of your contacts yourself. With the release of Nexus 4.0, it's all done for you using their LLM. Subscribing now!
I use @meshhq because I forget people I truly care about exist.
Not maliciously. With just so much going on and so many people in personal/proffessional life, find it hard to juggle all balls at once and show up in the way I want to for each person.
🧭 Introducing Clay Pathfinder!
Many of you cross-reference Clay as you browse the web to check who you know at particular companies. Now, Clay automatically surfaces your connections based on the website you're visiting.
Here's a demo when visiting the New York Times:
We also added streamlined flows for adding a note or a reminder in just a few taps. And we optimized every interaction to be snappy and responsive, because we know these moments of connection often happen when you're busiest.
The new Add Person experience is rolling out across Mac, Windows, iOS, and web today.
We've completely redesigned how you add people to Clay, making it faster and more intuitive than ever. You can now add multiple sources of information at once, like social profiles and notes.
This is especially powerful when you're on-the-go: quickly add a person you met at a conference, complete with their Twitter handle and the key points from your conversation, all before your next meeting.
