Any movement, any subject, any environment. 📸
That's the creative freedom of Meshcapade's Markerless MoCapade. 🚀
We deliver the industry's most accurate 3D motion and body shape data from any single video source. Our AI transforms footage—from subtle social gestures to intense dynamic movements—into precise, high-fidelity 3D data ready for immediate integration (FBX, GLB).
Cut the studio time. Get the motion you need, right now.
It doesn't get SMPL-er than this. 😉

🥊 Muay Thai–driven combat in a Yakuza-inspired student game
Set in Bangkok, this student game project explores how the movement and rhythm of Muay Thai can shape both cinematic moments and gameplay.
As part of a semester-long project at Saxion University of Applied Sciences, within the Creative Media and Game Technologies program, a team of game development students created a Yakuza-inspired game featuring a cinematic cutscene and hands-on gameplay.
To bring the cutscenes and combat to life, the team used Meshcapade to generate and retarget character animations, integrating them directly into Unity for both cinematic and playable sequences. 🎮
All credit to the team for the result—a strong example of how Meshcapade can be used for character animation in game development. 🔥

Eli Visockis, Maryia Paliakova, Luna Huizinga, Cvety-mira Georgieva, Gediminas Lekešius, Simon Hak, Jan Benko, Matthias Kruis, and Thomas van der Veer

🌳 From 4 photos to a living 3D park scene — here’s the full pipeline 👇
Step 1️⃣
Create a complete 3D environment from just 4 images using Marble by @theworldlabs 🖼️✨
Step 2️⃣
Animate it with Meshcapade’s markerless mocap, MoCapade 🎥
Turn ANY video into high-quality motion — no suits, no setup, no studio required.
Step 3️⃣
Bring everything into @UnrealEngine by @EpicGames Games 🎮
Seamlessly retarget MoCapade motions onto Unreal characters for instant production-ready animation.
Walking, stretching, hanging out — everyday park moments captured straight from video and dropped into a real-time 3D world.
Fast. Accessible. Production-ready motion capture 🚀
What would you animate with #MoCapade? 👀

The quality of markerless Motion Capture delivered by @meshcapade is simply stunning! Check the foot locking and overall precision! In my opinion, this is exactly the direction AI should be heading. Check breakdown here: https://t.co/71hejjGotz #3DAnimation#GameDev#VFX#MoCap
🎥 Key Feature Highlight: Game-Ready Animations in Meshcapade Me
🎮 Download multiple motions — from video-based capture or text-to-motion — fully processed and ready for real-time use.
🧩 Retarget the same motion onto different characters and drop it straight into Unreal Engine for gameplay, cinematics, or prototyping.
🚀 Reuse the same motion across multiple characters without reprocessing or re-exporting.

🎮 Behind the scenes of a student game animation workflow
We had the pleasure of collaborating with seven talented game development students who built a Metroidvania-style game as part of a semester-long development project at Saxion University, within the Creative Media and Game Technologies program.
Using Meshcapade, they captured and retargeted character motion and integrated it directly into Unity to animate their game characters—without a traditional motion capture setup.
This behind-the-scenes video gives a closer look at their animation workflow and how they brought their characters to life from concept to gameplay.
👏 Huge respect to the team for seeing this through from concept to implementation.

I started learning Unreal Engine 5 three weeks before this HP ad was due. Really happy with how it turned out. I used @meshcapade for the ai video mocap, best tool I’ve used to far. #vfx#UnrealEngine5
🎥 3D scene creation from 2D references
From two 2D images to a fully realized 3D environment — built using @theworldlabs' Marble 🧱🌍
🧍♂️🧍♀️ SMPL bodies, animated with Mocapade — @meshcapade's markerless motion capture.
No suits. No markers. Just video → motion ⚡

Real human motion inside a generated world hits different ⚡️👀
We built a world with Marble by @theworldlabs, reconstructed it into a 3D environment with @Jawset Postshot, then dropped in multiple SMPL characters with motion from Meshcapade Me and ran it in @UnrealEngine 🎮
No suits. No markers.
Just real movement colliding with synthetic space 🧠
It feels wrong.
That’s the point.

“And with that, the 2025 season comes to an end.”
At Meshcapade, this year was shaped by curiosity, complex problems, and a team that doesn’t shy away from either. Behind every feature shipped, every prototype tested, and every late discussion is a group of people committed to building things thoughtfully and well. 💡🧠
2025 was about momentum — learning fast, iterating relentlessly, and turning ambitious ideas into real progress. It challenged us, pushed us forward, and laid the foundation for what’s coming next. ⚙🚀
As we close this chapter, the focus is clear. The roadmap is moving, the team is aligned, and the next season is already taking shape. 💚
Glühwein, cold hands, good conversations 🎄✨
Wrapping up the year together at the Esslingen Weihnachtsmarkt.
A big thank you to everyone who built, tested, and created with us this year.
Our community and MVPs keep pushing what’s possible, and we don’t take that for granted 🤍
Wishing you a calm end to the year and a strong start into what’s next 🚀
Merry Christmas from the Meshcapade team 🎅

One year ago, Alejandro created his Christmas project using Mocapade.
This year, he’s continuing the same project, once again.
Watching how much Mocapade has evolved in just a single year is truly fascinating. ✨
