Have worked over 10 hours today

A few weather thoughts for the extended range though

Its plausible we see a more unsettled spell early June (mainly further North)

But we may see high pressure building in again 2nd week June onwards with dry and warm weather again for weeks 😳

I see high pressure and warm and dry weather clinging on into the start of June for the South

I think the pattern will slowly change to something more changeable after the 29/30th, but slow to affect the South

Fine weather for most out to 28/29th as said previously

Not only will May record be smashed

But we are genuinely going to get close today and tomorrow, to breaking the JUNE temperature record….. in May

Exceptionally high geopotential heights, indicating a hot, dry and stable airmass

I am astonished looking at the models for Monday and Tuesday

There is now a decent chance of 34c, possibly getting close to 35c on Tuesday

May record will fall (32.8C)

Forecast for next 10-14 days

Through Wed/Thurs, high pressure builds in

Warm or HOT and dry conditions, just in time for the bank holiday. Just further NW will be cooler with some dampness

Extent of high pressure will peak 24-28th with much of the country dry

Some of the models building up a lot of +ve Uwind over the Pacific going into May

Could lead to rise in AAM and general more favourable background state for warm and dry weather for the UK later in May into June

Settled weather could fade after the beginning of May

Just speculation for now
