Secrets to life: Gratitude + Consistency.
Be grateful for what you have—your spouse, your kids, every challenge you’ve beaten to get here.
Consistency in diet = health. Consistency in exercise = strength. Consistency in work = success.
To be a good person? Stay consistently grateful.
Grateful for today, grateful for the grind, grateful for the life I get to live. 🥩

For years, I thought stomach aches were just part of life.
I even had a name for them: “Friendly’s stomach aches, honoring the chain restaurant where we frequently dined.
I’d often leave the restaurant doubled over in pain, and on the ride home I’d wonder if I’d make it to a bathroom in time. It happened so often that it became normal.
The strange part? I never blamed the foods that were actually causing the problem.
Like so many people, I was told the real culprit was too much meat and fat. So I’d try to cut back on those while continuing to eat the foods that were almost certainly driving the problem.
On January 14, 2018, I switched to a therapeutic low-carb diet.
Over the past 8+ years, I could probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve had any meaningful digestive distress.
Not once a week.
Not once a month.
Sometimes not even once in an entire year.
There are dozens of reasons I’ll never go back to the way I used to eat—losing 80 pounds, reversing countless health issues, having more energy, getting stronger in my 60s.
But simply living without constantly wondering if my stomach is about to revolt?
That alone has been worth the price of admission.
Your doctor told you the statin is clearing your arteries.
It is not.
Statins do not remove plaque. They calcify it. They take soft, inflamed, vulnerable plaque and harden it into calcium deposits.
That is why your CAC score goes UP on a statin. Your doctor will tell you not to worry about it. But think about what that means for a moment.
The drug is not reversing the disease. It is turning soft plaque into stone.
Yes, calcified plaque is more stable. It is less likely to rupture. That is real. I will not pretend otherwise.
But look at what has not changed.
The lipid core is still there. The inflammation is still there. The artery wall is now stiff and rigid, with reduced flexibility and compliance.
Nothing about why the plaque formed in the first place has been addressed. The insulin resistance that damaged the wall. The inflammation that recruited the immune cells. The oxidative stress that turned LDL into oxLDL. All still running.
The fire is still there. They just hardened the scar.
Root cause asks a different question. Instead of calcifying the plaque after it forms, what if you stopped it from forming in the first place?
My recovery from bipolar disorder was a grind.
I didn't just cut carbs and, whoop de doo, I was all better, no more mental illness. The metabolic recovery was MUCH bigger than keto.
-Taking ketone levels, trial & error, finally settling on carnivore
-Tapering meds using a compound pharmacy, going through the withdrawals, working with a psychiatrist
-Medication, prayer, & spiritual practice
-Therapy, sobriety, psychological work, CBT, etc.
-Focusing on relationships
-Limiting social media, TV, etc., reading old books instead
-Cutting out drugs, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine
-Physical exercise, weights, walking, time outside
Today, you'd have no idea I have a 'bipolar disorder' diagnosis. My psychological health has transformed since my hospitalizations in 2016-2018.
But it did not happen overnight. It was a slow, methodical recovery.
Your carnivore diet should NOT look like mine.
One of the biggest misconceptions about carnivore is that everyone should eat exactly the same foods.
That’s simply not true.
Some people thrive on beef only.
Some do great with eggs.
Some tolerate dairy.
Some don’t.
Some need to work through histamine issues, electrolytes, or protein intake.
The goal isn’t to copy someone else’s plate.
The goal is to figure out what YOUR body thrives on.
That’s exactly why I created my Metabolic Blueprint. I teach women how to stop guessing and start learning what their own body is telling them.
