Token balance issues are often due to not using the latest version of MetaMask. Make sure you are using the latest version and refresh your token list.

@alexj_stl Sorry for the trouble. This usually means there is not enough liquidity for that token pair or the token pair does not exist. Are you able to successfully swap using different tokens on Solana?

@Crypdjo @MetaMask Bridging generally is not instantaneous, and can often take five to ten minutes for the transaction to be fully processed on the first chain, and then the second chain.

If it has been longer, you can try increasing the gas to speed up the transaction.

Great question! That permission is what lets us inject the Ethereum object (EIP-1193) into pages so sites can talk to MetaMask, and also announce that MetaMask is installed (EIP-6963).

There's a newer API that avoids this permission in theory, but it requires sites to hard-code our extension ID, or still rely on our injected script to announce we're here. No standard yet for discovery without it.

Even if we solved that, we'd still need this permission to support the vast majority of sites still using EIP-1193/6963 today. We're keeping an eye on lower-permission approaches as the ecosystem evolves
