I went down another food rabbit hole after watching a comparison of different ground beef brands. Did you know ground beef and beef patties aren't necessarily the same thing?
If it's actually labeled GROUND BEEF, federal rules don't allow added water, phosphates, binders or extenders. But something labeled BEEF PATTIES don't play by the same rules and are allowed to contain binders, extenders and other ingredients that have to be disclosed on the label. So apparently even when I think I'm buying freaking hamburger, I need to turn the package over and see what I'm actually buying.
Did you ever think they'd come a day when you had to actually read meat labels or have I just had my head in the sand?

I'm begging everyone to stop using AI to write their tweets, as Chris has done here (and elsewhere). Or at least if you are going to do it, take the time to remove the most obvious tells. For example, in this tweet, this part screams ChatGPT: "Calling a documented endocrine event a character flaw is not tough-mindedness. It’s cargo-cult medicine and click bait engagement farming." That last sentence in particular is something no human would ever write. You could have maybe gotten away with the rest if you'd just cut out that section. Or better yet use your own brain and write the whole thing from scratch.

If you had trusted the settled science of the day, here is how it would have gone.

1890s: you dose the baby with Bayer's new cough syrup, the non-addictive alternative to morphine, marketed for children. It was heroin. They named it after the German for heroic.
