Established by George Meek in 1979, the Metascience Foundation researched the paranormal, life after death, and human consciousness. Its legacy continues.

These anomalous photographs were taken by Carol Mayes in the mid-1900s during home circle séances. A simple roll film camera was used with no flash and the séance room was dimly lit with a red light. Special thanks to Mike Rogers for allowing us to share these photos. #Paranormal

@faktoids The faces, primarily. The people that appeared in Carole's photographs were allegedly not physically present in the séance room while the photos were taken. They were said to be deceased individuals. Carole's deceased sister also appeared in her photographs on occasion.

The Ashkir-Jobson Trianion was a group that formed in 1930 to conduct spirit communication experiments using devices that very few have heard about (such as the Reflectograph and Communigraph). Members included George Jobson, B. K. Kirkby, and A. J. Ashdown. #Paranormal #History

Bill O'Neil was a colleague of George Meek and the main operator of the Spiricom system. It was said that Bill had strong psychic abilities. One night while he was in his lab, his Polaroid camera went off on its own. The snakelike anomaly below appeared in the developed photo.
