Successfully reversed my HbA1C from 6.5 to 5.1, Now mission is to solve India’s metabolic crisis. We rebuild the biological engine of the desk-bound workforce.
Although I disagree with him on the whole premise of Dont Die, but damn its wonderful and represents the best of humanity,
dreaming of something that's Impossible to comprehend.
More people should dream of Impossible things to do that's what got us here rather than wishing de*th.
@Hybridathlete I swear, Zone 2 cardio for a longer period is the answer.
I like to do after I hit weights and then zone out on an elliptical for about 45 minutes.
I lowered my HbA1C from 6.5 to 5.1 using this protocol*.
*Made dietary changes as well.
@Alan_Couzens Exactly.
Movement and movement under tension can solve this metabolic disorder epidemic we are in.
Most underestimate their calorie consumption and overestimate their physical workouts.
@ChrisPalmerMD Ketosis is how you achieve improved metabolic health, psychiatric symptoms and better cognition.
Cant be on a prolonged keto diet.
I am wondering how would you cycle it to sustain metabolic flexibility and cognitive performance.
Good that we have empirical evidence now.
Restrict your calories and move more.
Movement under tension like Resistance training is far superior but movement>no movement.
We now have meta-analytic confirmation:
Adding exercise on top of caloric restriction leads to more weight loss.
It also leads to better weight loss, with less of the weight lost as lean mass, and more of it lost as fat mass.
@baxirahul Would love to read the paper on how what pathways it triggers to keep the blood sugar steady for 1 week.
That would help a lot of patients.
My dad used to be one, and I saw how inconvenient it was to stab yourself twice a day.
Want to hear a secret?
You wont build muscles by just eating protein.
You wont fix nutrition by training.
This demonization of protein and carbs by both sides is hilarious.
Fix muscles by training and nutrition by taking a balanced diet.
Everything else is noise.
Common sense is uncommon.
When we read that a person passed away after drowning, some people still manage to find fault with protein!
And this statement is even supported by a celebrity politician. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Meanwhile, Indians are carb-maxxing, seed-oil-maxxing, and sugar-maxxing... while witnessing skyrocketing rates of diabetes, heart disease, fatty liver, PCOS, obesity, and other metabolic disorders.
@CoachDanGo When people ask me how they lost strength dramatically once they cross 40 years and get chronic diseases, I always point at this image and explain myosteatosis.
Its so rapid that you wont believe and the answer is Resistance training 3x per week for 45-60 mins.
Build your muscles
This is your muscle at 25 vs. 55.
On the left: dense, healthy tissue.
On the right: muscle marbled with fat like a ribeye steak.
It's called myosteatosis, and if you're not lifting heavy and you're carrying extra fat, it's already happening to you.
@hyderabaddoctor Exactly doc.
Start slow but be consistent.
Always add resistance training for muscle building, your older self will thank you.
Your cardiovascular and metabolic health depend on it, do not neglect.
@IamShajanSamuel >More than eating, Movement is the best way to live more.
>Move your body more, Move Weights.
>Move in Sun, Move in Rain.
Movement is the best way to live and to live longer.
>More than eating, Movement is the best way to live more.
>Move your body more, Move Weights.
>Move in Sun, Move in Rain.
Movement is the best way to live and to live longer.
@ANI Dr Devi Shetty is a brilliant businessman.
You do not need expensive CT scans, what you need is a simple blood test to see if your HbA1C ideally below 5.5, low HOMA-IR and Your TG/HDL ratio below 2. That means you are metabolically healthy.
If elevated consult your doctor.

#WATCH | Bengaluru, Karnataka: Dr Devi Shetty, Founder and Chairman, Naryana Health says, "The biggest problem in our country is that people don't know that how fit they feel has nothing to do with how fit they are. You can have very serious heart problem, yet you may not be aware of it. People are refusing to go for a health checkup. You have seen so many people just dropping down dead on a treadmill or running marathon or a day to day activity. If they went for a basic check like a blood test, an ECG, and a cardiac CT scan, that's all, none of those people would have had a heart attack, none of them. Because the blockage would have been diagnosed and they would have been under treatment. So the problem of healthy people the suddenly dropping down dead could have been eliminated completely if only people went for a health checkup. Our biggest problem is people refuse to see the doctors unless they have pain..."
India’s metabolic health challenge won’t be solved by awareness alone.
It needs action. Specially after meals.
You need to be walking or doing calf raises at your desk.
Movement needs to become part of the workday. 🔥
