We're calling on Springfield to #RestoreLGDF because it accounts for up to 20% of municipal budgets and funds essential services like firefighters, road repairs and garbage collection. Springfield shouldn't take local money to solve its problems.

What is LGDF? Instead of a local income tax, IL returns 10% of the $ collected from cities & villages: the Local Government Distributive Fund (LGDF). After 50+ yrs of precedence, the state is now taking that money from communities & using it to plug its budget holes. #RestoreLGDF
