Mets are no longer losing games because their bullpen is inept.
They now have a legit path to Díaz.
This team has basically solidified itself to grab a Wild Card.
@jt_teran They’ve significantly improved the floor meaning we won’t see their season implode due to scrubs.
Conversely, they’ve done nothing to raise the floor
Lotta ppl talking bout 'who???' but as someone who's had a soft spot for the As for years, I can tell you Blackburn has super high upside and when he gets on a roll can be a real good pitcher. Nice low-risk acquisition. Maybe we get Snell or Flaherty now, too? Coupla hours left.
@SotoC803 Blackburn will at least allow the Mets to have a competitive starter every fifth day which is a big upgrade over where they are now.
Couple this with having Buttó and Megill in the pen, it’s also a bullpen bolstering move.

The Mets are one of seven teams contending for three National League wild card spots, yet 15 of their next 21 games are against American League teams. Please tell me how this ridiculous schedule where every team plays every other team makes even a little bit of sense.
