ทางด้านหมอประจำตัวน้องก็สงสัย แม่ต้องพาน้องไปหาหมอตามกำหนดการรับเลี้ยง หมอที่ดูแปบเดียวก็รู้ว่าน้องโดนทำร้ายแน่ๆ เลยไปแจ้งตำรวจ แต่ตำรวจก็ไม่รับแจ้งอีกแล้ว มองว่าหมอมีอคติกับพ่อแม่คู่นี้เลยมาแจ้ง (กูจะบ้า) น้องเลยตกอยู่ในมือคนชั่วเพราะตำรวจไม่ช่วยน้อง จนวันที่น้องตายถึงมีตำรวจทำงาน

I am a single mother raising a middle school daughter. With no money or power, I had nowhere to turn for help, so I ended up writing this post.

My 12-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted by her tutor while receiving private lessons.

It’s been a year since we filed charges against him, and now he has been sentenced to 1 year in prison with 2 years of probation.

(This means they are suspending his sentence for 2 years. In other words, if he doesn’t commit the same type of crime during those 2 years, he ultimately won’t spend even a single day in prison.)

<Relationship with the Perpetrator Before the Incident>

After this incident was reported, many people asked me, “Why did you hire a male tutor?”

He was a part-time worker at the shop I was running, and that’s where he got to know my daughter. At the time, I was looking for a math academy for her, so I asked him, “Do you know any good math academies?” He replied, “There are a lot of bad people at academies. I’ll tutor your daughter myself..”

He was attending a prestigious university in Seoul, was the president of a major club, had excellent grades, and his friends always praised him. Because of his stellar public reputation, I trusted him and hired him. I decided to pay him extra tutoring fees on top of his regular wage and employed him as her tutor.

<After Tutoring Started>

I never left him alone with my daughter even once. The tutoring sessions took place in her room while I stayed in the living room.

I also got consent from both him and my daughter before installing a home camera in her room. At that time, he said to me, “It’s natural for you to worry, I understand.”

<Changes in My Daughter After Tutoring Began>

My once sweet daughter started getting angry more often and became very irritable, which even caused trouble between us.

I later found out that he had been manipulating her by saying things like, “Your mom seems to think you’re pathetic and doesn’t trust you,” and “Even if you tell her what happened, she won’t believe you.” He was sowing discord between my daughter and me.

I believe this was grooming. He seemed to destroy all of her trust relationships and make her dependent on him.

My daughter became depressed and distressed, and she started self-harming by cutting her wrists.

One day, my daughter said to me, “Please install one more home camera.” When I checked the existing camera after hearing her, I noticed that only the footage from tutoring sessions was missing. So I bought another home camera and installed it in her room.

Three days later, I reviewed the footage from the new camera during tutoring time. The video I reported to the media was just a small part; he actually committed very serious sexual assault.

He turned off the existing camera, and when my daughter asked, “Why are you turning it off?” he replied, “To kill you.”

After that, his sexual assault began. He touched my daughter’s body as she said “Don’t do it,” grabbed her by the nape of her neck when she tried to run away and held her in his arms, covered her mouth with his hand, and continued the assault. He put his hand inside her clothes, touched her breasts and genitals, and rubbed his own genitals against her. He sexually assaulted her for a long time but stopped immediately when he heard me approaching.
