Iran remains largely disconnected from the global internet. This is not a technical failure. It is a deliberate, coordinated, and ongoing act of digital repression carried out by the state to suppress a population seeking basic freedoms.

Millions of people are being silenced in real time.

Students are cut off from education.
Doctors are cut off from life-saving coordination.
Journalists are cut off from the world.
Families are cut off from each other.
Civilians are cut off from safety.

This enforced blackout is not about controlling platforms.
It is about controlling reality.

Every prolonged internet shutdown in Iran creates the conditions for violence without witnesses, arrests without documentation, and abuse without accountability. History has already shown this pattern repeatedly. What is happening now follows the same path.

Silence from the international community is no longer neutrality.
It is complicity.

Access to the internet in today’s world is not a privilege.
It is essential civilian infrastructure — just like water, medicine, and electricity.
Denying an entire nation access to communication is a collective punishment and a clear violation of fundamental human rights.

We urgently call for:
1.Immediate and public acknowledgment of the ongoing shutdown by global technology and infrastructure providers.

3.Serious implementation of emergency connectivity solutions, including satellite-based access, for civilians, journalists, healthcare workers, and educators.
4.Recognition of internet access as a non-negotiable humanitarian right.

Over 85 million people are being digitally imprisoned.

The world must not look away.
The world must not wait.
The world must not remain silent.

Internet access for the people of Iran is not a political demand.
It is a human demand.

And it must be answered.
