that nyc-dsa's 1st public rebuke of zohran is not in defense of the unhoused as they're forcefully removed, women enduring slavery, a kid shot by cops prosecuted for assault, but of our candidates pursuing his support is damning of our claim to be heirs of the socialist tradition
This tells me that the DSA along with the Mayor are still learning how political capital works in NYC. The outcomes of these races will be significant in more ways than one.
very telling that our chapter's first public zohran critique isnt about his zionist billionare cop chief or about homeless sweeps or about nycha demolition or about the hunger-striking care workers but electoral endorsements
@OuchFive@SallyGold I’d have to agree given how I’ve looked at races since the Katz DA win. The polarization usually puts a battery in the back of those “newcomers” who tend to have outside networks and resources that love to travel to NYC to simply knock on doors.
The most profound line of this piece:
“Whether or not Darializa Avila Chevalier carries the day on June 23rd, there will soon be a new day dawning in Upper Manhattan.
Even The Commie Corridor was not built in a day.”
Don’t learn from history and it repeats…
ICYMI: Zohran Mamdani endorsed Darializa Avila Chevalier for Congress in NY-13.
I coined The Commie Corridor before Mamdani won City Hall, but for months I've been asking: where is the sequel?
The answer is Upper Manhattan:

@OuchFive@MichaelLangeNYC But is that honestly his fault? I mean I think it’s the responsibility of the person taking in the info to vette the source, no?
