🚨 400 kg Silver Smuggling Scandal
After the Prime Minister’s approval, the FBR has formed a 3-member inquiry committee headed by Grade-21 Additional IG Motorway Police Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui.
Nine officers are under probe, including former Collector Customs Quetta Dr. Karam Elahi (already in FIA custody), Yusuf Magsi, Tariq Hussain, Muhammad Yusuf and others.
The inquiry committee will submit its report within 60 days, after which it will be presented to the Prime Minister.
DG Reforms and Automation Customs Muhammad Imran Khan Mehmood has been appointed as the hearing officer, while the Chief Collector Customs Enforcement Islamabad will serve as the departmental representative.

Reports and video footage of Pakistani security forces using lethal force against protesters in Jammu and Kashmir are deeply disturbing. At least 30 people are reported killed, with many more injured, amid a communications blackout.

The violence must end. Communications must be restored, independent investigations allowed, and those responsible for any human rights abuses held to account.
