The Prime Minister right said that tax on income till Rs 12 Lakhs is zero

However it's most most ridiculous tax regime
If income goes to Rs 12.5 lakhs you end up paying Rs 52000 in tax i.e. your money in hand is lower
If income goes to Rs 13 lakhs tax is Rs 78000

Tax regime cannot take away base benefits as income increases.

If the government is serious, it should clearly explain what it plans to achieve in the next three years, broken into one year milestones.

Otherwise, it is better not to set any goals at all.

Setting goals for 2047 without periodic and measurable yardsticks is of little use.

There should be specific one year, three year, and five year goals.

It is okay if we do not achieve them on time. At least we would have enough time to make course corrections.

Without focus, yardsticks, and measurable periodic milestones, no magic or miracle will happen suddenly in 2047.
