Maidenhead Waterways is a charity set up by the people of Maidenhead for the town of Maidenhead, campaigning to restore the waterways in Maidenhead town centre.
Big thanks to all the enthusiastic community volunteers that joined us this morning to clear litter and blanket weed from the Maidenhead Basin at Chapel Arches. Hard work, but enjoyable and rewarding!
This year’s #ActivityWeek saw our Seniors focusing on the ideas of collaboration and giving back to the community with Year 10 pupils working with @MheadWaterways to rake, cut back and clean the river channel. Find out more here: https://t.co/pLzjv0P3aC
The path along the @MheadWaterways between Green Lane and Stafferton Way (footpath 89) will be closed from 1 July for approximately six months to allow construction of a weir on this stretch of the water.

@maidbloke @JonnyBaum @RBWM_Libraries Glad you like it! Work in the Library area is currently focused on new footbridge, but below GWR they are cracking on with channel works.
