Starting today (Tuesday, September 5), Humboldt Street will be closed to through traffic just west of 6th Street for a gas line repair by Kansas Gas Service.

If you are visiting the Douglass Activity Center, you might notice some parking changes for the next few months. Icon Structures, Inc. will be working on the parking lot between the Douglass Annex and the Flint Hills Breadbasket until November 30.
This closure extends thru the intersection to the southbound (westernmost) lane of 6th St., which will be from the alley north of Humboldt all the way south to Poyntz Ave. Only northbound traffic is allowed on 6th St. during this work, which could last for an extended period.

Starting today (Monday, August 14), the Public Works Department’s Street Division will close both westbound lanes of the 300 block of Bluemont Avenue for asphalt repairs.
Please drive safely in this area, follow signage and look out for City workers!
Westbound traffic on Bluemont will be detoured north on 3rd Street to Vattier Street, west to 4th Street, and back south to Bluemont.
In addition, the southbound lane of 3rd Street will be closed just north of Bluemont, as well as the northbound left-turn lane on Bluemont.
Expect moderate to heavy traffic and some delays on Scenic Drive and Kimball Avenue between Anderson Avenue and Hudson Drive, especially on @KState football gamedays in the fall.
Starting Friday, August 4, Bayer Construction has progressed to Phase 2 of building a new roundabout at Grand Mere Parkway and Kimball Avenue/Scenic Drive.
This phase is expected to last until nearly the end of this year.

This intersection has been reopened to through traffic during this second phase of construction, through the use of a temporary new fly-through route. The route, via which Grand Mere can once again access Kimball via a stop-sign intersection, is denoted in purple in this map.
Weather permitting, the new signal poles and mast arms will be installed today at the intersection of Juliette and Poyntz avenues.
This work should not disrupt through traffic in any way, but please drive cautiously through the area and watch out for workers.
At 9:30 a.m. today, they will stop traffic on eastbound U.S. 24 for approximately 15 minutes to erect the mast arm for eastbound traffic.
At 10:30 a.m., they will do the same thing for the westbound lanes.
