@NHSLMA @scharle4 @audrallurvey We have created a place for puzzles too. Need to find inexpensive puzzles that are not missing pieces and are interesting pictures for young adults-- not "old" looking puzzles
@NHSLMA A2: Implemented a Self-checkout station for books and chromebooks. This has freed up my time especially before and after classes so that I can be working with students instead of standing at my desk
@NHSLMA A4: I have been participating in and created my first book chat. Read professional books and blogs. Missed the conference this year due to illness. Try to adapt to what others are doing at my school within our budget #nhslma
A3 : I was surprised that Snapchat is an influencing factor in determining credibility in news stories including journalists' credibility especially for 18-30 yo. #sau24bookchat#factvsfiction
A5: The self-assessment was fun! My daughter and I debated over them & I got more incorrect then I expected to.. Brown cows? Really? I look forward to doing more fake news quizes. #sau24bookchat
A4: The most challenging principle for me personally is giving students the chance to reflect on the impact of fake and misleading news on their daily lives, especially in regards to empathizing with others with their points of view in controversial issues

@SarahG35406249 yes, I agree. We could discuss good citizenship online and the book provides some examples, however, I think this could become a heated conversation in a high school setting, depending on what the topic or controversial news source is about.
@LibrarianDebi I agree that reflection time is the most challenging principle. Maybe before students leave the class they can write a quick note on a sticky that explains what they learned. Quick and easy.
