BIG: former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Saran Singh acquitted in sexual harassment case by a Delhi court . This despite the fact that four of the six female Olympic wrestlers stood by their testimonies in court .. the POWERFUL win out yet again . 🙏
This is why the typical taxpayer is a joker 🤡 in this country.
An MLA has paid zero taxes.
You’re earning far less than an MLA, yet every one of your transactions is scrutinised by the government.
This is daylight robbery of the honest salaried class.
Salary : ₹13.40 lakh
Tax Paid : ₹84,000 💸
Health Insurance + LIC : ₹1.10 lakh 🏥
❌ No deduction Under New Tax Regime.
❌ No Ayushman Bharat benefit due to income criteria.
Then what's the reward for being an honest middle-class taxpayer?

BREAKING Aug 2, 2026: Excise duty on petrol just hit Rs.32.90/litre, the HIGHEST in Indian history. EIA forecasts Brent at $74/barrel in Q3. Delhi petrol: Rs.102.12. The government raised your tax WHILE crude was crashing. This is not mismanagement. This is deliberate extraction.
One friend was marking 47LPA and was working hard for promotion from 5yrs.
Finally got promotion last year and now his salary became 52L. He was happy until he filed ITR and got to know that out of 5L increase in salary he has to pay 2.5L in income tax because of high tax slab and surcharge.
> Tax on 47L was around 10L
> Tax on 52L is around 12.5L
So, basically he has to now pay his 50% salary to Govt while his responsibilities, work pressure increased by 50% due to promotion. That's the kind of cruelty Govt is doing to its hardworking and honest taxpayers.
If someone is taxing severance pay as well, just understand the cruelty of this system and these politicians. They don't even spare the money meant for people who have lost their jobs. That tells you everything about their priorities.
🚨 Govt Needs To Fix EPFO, Need Big Reforms
We Make Payments in Seconds with UPI
So Why EPFO Take Weeks To Settle Claims?
Why Can't It Be Done in Maximum of 2-3 Days?
Else, Pay ₹500 Per Day Penalty For Any Delay
Don't Make People Struggle For Their Own Money
If you earn 100 rupees, 30 rupees goes to the government.
you also have to pay for healthcare, high petrol prices, school/college fees of kids etc
God forbid If something happens to you because of bad infra, no one is accountable.
You don’t get much rebate on housing loan as well(for new tax regime it’s 0), houses are not affordable as well.
But still you can’t do anything about it, you’ve to live your life like this only.
Being middle class in India feels like a trap.
Salary gets credited to your bank account.
⬇️
TDS has already been deducted, so you receive your salary after income tax.
⬇️
You decide to save and invest your hard-earned money in stocks, mutual funds or FDs.
⬇️
Your investment grows and you earn a profit.
⬇️
You pay tax on those gains as well (depending on the type of investment).
⬇️
Now you decide to buy a TV, phone, laptop or any other product.
⬇️
You pay GST on that purchase.
⬇️
You go out for lunch or dinner with your family.
⬇️
The restaurant bill includes GST too.
⬇️
From earning, to investing, to spending...
at almost every stage, there's some form of tax involved.
I'm not saying taxes shouldn't exist , they're essential for running a country. But as a salaried middle class person, it can sometimes feel like you're paying taxes at almost every step of your financial journey.
