On Instagram yesterday, the AMERICAN PANDA cover model posted this (adorable) photo and said, "I never actually read a story and thought, 'THATS ME! That’s my story!' But #AmericanPanda is the story."

I was moved to tears.

I had a few duds but I read a lot more than I was expecting to! A good start to the year overall ❤️

THE BELL JAR - SYLVIA PLATH
I read this in one sitting and it was such a rollercoaster. Plath's writing is lush and I found the presentation of Esther's mental illness really authentic and moving. A new favourite ❤️

36 QUESTIONS THAT CHANGED MY MIND ABOUT YOU - VICKI GRANT (20-23 Jan, 285 pages)
The gimmick was interesting but the writing was bland at best and cringey at worst. I hated the main character and she had the most irritating friends I've ever read about

FANTASTIC BEASTS ETC. - JK ROWLING (20 Jan, 135 pages)
It's hard to separate this from my own (extremely pissed off) feelings about the whole film situation right now but I enjoyed it for what it was. Nothing groundbreaking, just fun.

A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE - TENNESSEE WILLIAMS (8 Jan, 108 pages)
I had to read this for school but it was pretty interesting. It also only took me two hours to read, so I liked that about it.
