Environmental Communication wraps up the semester with poster sessions on their research projects including a grant they wrote with The BEEPS Foundation for a pollinator prairie garden designed by 5th graders that will promote hands-on learning about environmental sustainability.
The ENG 415 capstone class has been working with the Hueston Woods Nature Center to design all new animal signs, brochures, trail maps, and educational materials for the center. Their final projects turned out amazing and will be enjoyed by the nature center visitors every day!
Today on #WritingMythMonday we're tackling one of our favorites: The idea that writing knowledge transfers easily to new contexts. In reality, writers have a difficult time transferring writing knowledge when faced with new tasks, even if they've learned similar ideas before.
The ENG 415 capstone available Spring 2020, allows students to work on a real-world project with a community partner. Students will design, write, edit, and create communications for the Historic Hopewell Church, and Enjoy Oxford (formerly the Oxford Visitor’s Bureau).

explores how shifts in communication technologies influence our understanding of what it means to be human, and looks at how scholars and artists have responded to the development new media in the 20th and 21st centuries.
