Historic Ruling Ends Criminalization of Attempted Suicide in Kenya.
@HakiKNCHR joins all Kenyans and the global community to acknowledge and celebrate todays historic judgment in Petition 45 of 2022 which decriminalizes attempted suicide under Section 226 of the Penal Code.

KNCHR took the lead in the case as the 1st Petitioner, Ms. Charity Muturi was the second petitioner while the Kenya Psychiatric Association were the third petitioner in the case. Though she passed on before witnessing this historic ruling, Ms. Charity will forever be remembered for her strong advocacy for accessible mental health services in Kenya.

You @RailaOdinga Must have given your approval to @WilliamsRuto to appoint the below:-

1. @GovWOparanya is the Deputy Party Leader
2. @MbadiHon is the Chairman of @TheODMparty
3. @HassanAliJoho is the Deputy of the Party
4. @OpiyoWandayi is the leader of Minority. Basically all the key people in opposition.

You have been a crusader for the upholding of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, but Jaduong’, it is evident that the mutilators and yourself are the same.

Single-handedly, you @RailaOdinga have:

1. Weakened the Separation of Powers (Article 1 & 2):- Supporting these appointments, you’ve blurred the lines between the executive and legislative branches, undermining our constitutional framework.

2. Eroded Public Trust Article 10:- You supporting these nominations @RailaOdinga have contributed to political co-optation, eroding the public's trust in governance.

3. Weakened Oversight, Article 95 & 96:- Diverting the role of the Opposition to support the regime diminishes its capacity to provide effective oversight.

4. Violated the Leadership and Integrity Act, 2012 Section 16:- This blatant conflict of interest raises questions on how the opposition can hold the regime accountable when @TheODMparty is part of the government.

5. Compromised the Political Parties Act, 2011, Section 14:- This act mandates that political parties maintain their distinct roles and functions. Where is the independence of the opposition now?

What have you done, @RailaOdinga? Have you forgotten the economic crimes? The human rights violations? The torture of young Kenyans? The police brutality! The cries of over 60 lost souls ⚰️ echo in the streets. Mothers are mourning again!
