Dear Prof.,

Hairat Balogun, was not elected the 1st female General Secretary of @NigBarAssoc & 1st female Chair of the Body of Benchers because members of the legal profession wanted to break any glass ceiling.

Folake Solanke didn't become the 1st female Senior Advocate of #Nigeria because members of the legal profession wanted to break any glass ceiling.

Victoria Onejeme was not appointed 1st female Attorney-General in #Nigeria... because members of the legal profession wanted to break any glass ceiling.

The male occupants of those seats too were not appointed/elected because they were men. Each and everyone of them was competence.

This is not to say your candidate is not competent but when a seat is elective, we choose the most competent, which your candidate is not.

It tells much about us as lawyers if we reduce an election to a gender war. Prof. Sir, please do well to tell us the impact your candidate had made on us for us to trust her with our votes. If you really believe she is the most competent, tell us why.

We are not just talking about the future of the NBA, we are talking about the future of the profession.

This is not vibes!
