Public Health Facilities can really frustrate you especially when you want tests done then go back to the Private Health Facility and get a procedure done! π€¦πΎ
When you say that the so called DEVOLUTION was celebrating 10yrs, well it's good for them! The only thing I haven't seen change and growth in is the Health sector, it has gotten worse after Devolution and there is nothing good to write home about it!
This afternoon I just lost a sickle cell patient,a vibrant 16 year old girl simply because her parents decided not to adhere to her monthly clinics and medications.
Came in with a HB of 2.9,WBC 70,Malaria positive and in Respiratory distress (presumably chest syndrome) saturating at 60% without oxygen.Fevers of 40 degrees+ and on top of that had severe body pains.
The mum simply told me they gave up because they believed it was uchawi that had finished her two other kids.
Sometimes life is hard and unfair ππ€ π
@mbiti_mwondi Sickle Cell is not uchawi as people call it, those are very ignorant people who were not taken through proper counselling once their daughter was diagnosed with Sickle Cell! It's quite unfortunate that she had to suffer like that!!!
Local filmmakers & other industry players will soon pay lower regulatory fees if stakeholders adopt a Government proposal to reduce licensing charges applicable in the film sector.
