As the NFL kicks off, sharing the sweet letter my son wrote to @Patriots owner Robert Kraft back in June, BEFORE signing Cam.
I shared a lot about @Kaepernick7 & when Brady left, he said, "the Pats can sign Kap."
I told him he should tell that to the owner! So he did! 💙🥰
We have been gaslit by politicians our entire lives—Mamdani blowing up the whole excuse machine in real time.
Once people see what can be done when the person in charge actually gives a damn, it gets a lot harder to sell us the same tired excuses we’ve been fed for decades.
Today I signed an Executive Order for every worker exposed to extreme heat on the job. It requires multilingual heat safety guidance for workers, a review of construction site heat safety practices, and heat illness prevention plans at every mayoral agency.
Extreme heat is a worker safety issue. The workers who build our skyline, staff our airports, stock our warehouses, and deliver our packages, keep this city running.
This executive order will ensure they come home safe at the end of every shift.
@RapidResponse47 Even maga knows @potus is lying.
One of the most powerful women in the world, with better ratings, didn’t beg for a photo with a 🤡 permanently confused by women who don’t want him.
That’s what he can’t stand. Smart women saying no has always been his most public humiliation.
@njpd2015@mikefreemanNFL "Worst team" but:
- 14–3 record (after 4–13 year before)
- First team in NFL history to go 9–0 on the road
- Maye led NFL in completion % + passer rating
- 4,394 yards | 31 TDs | 450 RUSH YARDS
- Beat the #5, #1, and #2 defenses in the playoffs
Stats beat opinions. Every time.
@DigBag0412 Fair point. You’re right — winning is winning, and history doesn’t ask how. I’m probably being more defensive than I need to be. Appreciate the perspective. At least you didn't call me all the ugly names like so many do on here!
@JLknl5 @GhettoGronk And...his1.6% int rate was exceptionally low for a QB w/ high volume passing, ranking 10th lowest among all qualified passers & significantly better than league avg.
And...set a Pats franchise record with 13 gms this season in which he achieved a passer rating of 100 or more.
@DigBag0412 No one's pretending he was great during the playoffs. But he was good enough to win. Against those defenses. That's how the NFL works.
It's everyone trying to pretend he was the worst QB all season. My goodness, the Pats are first team in history to go 9-0 on the road!
@racerodgers Maybe in the arm throwing department his numbers on paper looked better. But Maye scored the ONLY touchdown and ran for the biggest first down of the season to clinch it. I'd argue that 65 yards rushing by a QB in those conditions looks way better. But anyhoo... Super Bowl bound!
@BDawkEnthusiast @theInfamousIan @GhettoGronk It actually does — because preseason expectations are based on last year’s results. No one labels a 4–13 team’s schedule a “cakewalk” before a single snap. That framing only exists in hindsight.
“Easy schedule” is a hindsight label, not a preseason one.
@MattGinella@katie_ginella Writing about golf doesn’t revoke your citizenship. Every American has the right — and the responsibility — to speak when atrocities are happening, no matter their profession. Moments like this require more than one voice—they require all of them. You have a beautiful family.
@NFLHateMemes “Easiest schedule” is the laziest take in sports. You don’t control who’s on the calendar — you just beat who shows up. And they did.
And for the record, teams don’t control injuries either. No one knows in August who’s losing a QB in December. That’s football.
@TheBobStew “Weakest” schedule is the laziest take in sports. You don’t control who’s on the calendar — you just beat who shows up. And they did.
And for the record, teams don’t control injuries either. No one knows in August who’s losing a QB in December. That’s football. Cope.
@RichardGrenell The Kennedy Center is a congressionally chartered national cultural institution. Renaming it would require an act of Congress, signed into law.
And driving artists away, like he has, while emptying seats isn’t bipartisanship — it’s cultural vandalism.
