Ali Akbar Dareini explains how Iran outsmarted the US.
He says Iran avoided fierce escalation, instead expanding the geography of the war and constantly opening new fronts to stretch US forces and make their positions increasingly difficult to defend.
“That’s why the Americans have failed to achieve their goals.”

He swore for years that airplanes could never sink a battleship. Then he sailed two of the Royal Navy's finest warships straight into enemy waters with no air cover, and 90 minutes later 840 of his men were dead. Meet Sir Tom Phillips, arguably the worst British admiral of WW2.
They called him Tom Thumb. He stood 5 foot 4 and spent most of the war behind a desk as Vice Chief of the Naval Staff. He was brilliant on paper and famous for one stubborn opinion he would not drop: aircraft were no real threat to a warship at sea. The RAF's Bomber Harris used to needle him that one day a plane would sink his ship out from under him, and as he went down he would still be insisting it was a mine.
Late 1941, Britain sends Force Z to Singapore to scare Japan. Two heavyweights. The battlecruiser HMS Repulse, and HMS Prince of Wales, a brand new battleship that had already traded shells with the Bismarck and carried Churchill across the Atlantic. The carrier meant to protect them ran aground on the way over and never arrived. Nobody waited for a replacement.
Japan invades Malaya. Phillips takes the ships out to smash the landings. Steaming out he signals the fleet, we are out looking for trouble and no doubt we shall find it. Then he makes the decision that kills them. He keeps radio silence and turns down fighter cover. A young RAF pilot had literally offered to keep six fighters circling overhead in daylight. Phillips said no. He still thought he did not need them.
December 10. Japanese torpedo bombers fly out from Indochina and find two giant ships alone under an empty sky. One early torpedo hits Prince of Wales right where her propeller shaft leaves the hull. The shaft tears itself apart, 2,400 tons of water floods in, and she loses steering and power. With the electrics gone, whole banks of her anti aircraft guns stop working. The most modern battleship in the fleet is now half blind and can barely shoot back.
Repulse dodged roughly 19 torpedoes before her luck ran out, then rolled over and sank. And here is the part that stings. It was Repulse's captain who finally broke radio silence and called for help, not the admiral. The call went out an hour late. The fighters scrambled and arrived overhead at the exact moment Prince of Wales was going under. They got there in time to watch.
Phillips did not save himself. He went down with his ship. Final tally: 840 British sailors dead, two irreplaceable capital ships on the seabed, and the whole idea that battleships ruled the ocean gone with them. Japan's cost for the entire thing was four aircraft. Churchill said he never got a more direct shock in the whole war.
The day after, a Japanese pilot named Haruki Iki flew back to the spot and dropped two wreaths of flowers into the sea for the dead of both sides. The admiral who swore planes could never sink his ships was killed by planes sinking his ship, after refusing the planes that might have saved him.
Running America costs $19 billion a day.
Cutting all aid, Israel, Ukraine, everyone: buys us 2.5 days.
Cut US military: 48 days.
Fire all federal employees: 35 days.
280 days left.
Now how do we pay for it?

The sad reality is that Republicans are working just as hard as the Democrats to destroy America and some people still haven't figured out what the teams are.
The replies to the post below are the most illuminating in terms of which accounts are taking advantage of repeal of the Smith-Mundt Act, which previously prohibited the U.S. government from using propaganda on our own citizens. They’re State Department damage control accounts.
Americans have had enough
“I am watching everything my ancestors built being sh*t on or destroyed, and you expect me to be like, "Oh, but the tribal behavior of 3rd world immigrants is acceptable because they're traumatized"? I don't care. Kick them out, send them back to their 3rd world countries, give me back my money and my taxes. I really don't care”
We ALL don’t care. None of us accept this behavior anymore
We are very close to losing our culture and our countries. All 3rd world immigration needs to be sent back to their home countries and the people who orchestrated this need to be held accountable
An estimated $200 billion in our tax money has been spent per year in recent years before Trump to bring foreigners into America…. Insane
We all deserve a refund
The estimated cost burden is about $150 billion per year on immigration
Send them ALL back
BBC reporter: 'Sounds like you’re saying 1 Jewish life is worth 100s of 1,000s of Palestinian lives'
Israeli West Bank settler: 'No. MILLION. 1 Jewish life, it’s 10 million, ok'
BBC: 'That just sounds racist'
Settler: 'Yes. I know. But it’s the truth. Because God chose us'
This is the second time this week @SecKennedy has stated in an interview that the Covid shots offer no benefit to children.
Perhaps this is a preview of forthcoming action?
Don’t fall for the fake Fox/GOP outrage. Two weeks ago the House passed a bill that greenlighted the transfer of Spanish territory to Morocco. Every Republican except me voted for it, but now THEY are acting shocked at the invasion.

Ukraine will soon cease to exist!
A city of 23,000 has turned into a cemetery.
Only widows left burying the dead… and children growing up without fathers.
Money and weapons will not save the situation.
Only peace will.
Waiting for y’all to discover Republican leaders in DC have also scheduled an October recess.
There are only 8 full work days and 8 half-days before the midterm elections. It looks like we’re intent on squandering a majority, until you understand Uniparty IS always the majority.
Estimated 60,000 migrants cross into Spanish territory of Ceuta in past 24hrs, acc to enclave's president
That is equivalent to 70% of Cueta's regular population
'It is impossible to cope with this situation'
