@catholicbird Sure, because our faith is in Jesus --- not man, traditions, a church.
The Bible is full of scripture that points to Christ for salvation but also just getting through the trials of life.... NOT some "one true church" faux theology.
@CatholicDrip___@Godhatesicons Scripture is clear salvation is solely found in Faith in Jesus ( Rom. 10:9 for ex)
Not through works, not through Baptism, not via the Eucharist, etc.
I don't think believing these other things necessarily makes one "not saved"... but they certainly confuse the Gospel.
"if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9
One of many verses in the Bible that lay out the path to salvation with no mention of Baptism.
@YeFutureSaint Apostolic succession isn't required to umderstand the Gospel of Christ in modern day when anyone can clearly read it for themselves in any language. God speaks through the Holy Spirit not any single church denomination.
@AthenaLisbon@TheStaad Converting to Catholicism is not even close to the same as preaching a Biblically sound Gospel and bringing the lost to Jesus ... especially when the RCC has confused the true Gospel of Jesus adding unnecessary requirements.
@BrandonArtMoore@TheStaad I accepted Christ at a young age, was Baptized shortly thereafter, and spent my entire life in Church growing in my faith. What exactly am I blind about since you know so much about me??
@patristicpill "17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel"
The Gospel
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
No mention of Baptism.
@patristicpill What do these verses have to do with infant Baptism?
Scripture doesn't claim that salvation is attained through Baptism but through Faith in Christ alone. Baptism is a sign of Faith after accepting Christ.
@Rblv73@RealRobinToupin The premise that Christians should rely on God's word as our source of truth is self evident, otherwise any "church leaders" can create their own Gospel (see Mormons , JW, EOC, and the RCC)
@Ro__Junior@autocorrect2_0@valorthodoxia "God is not the author of confusion"
Your argument is basically to trust another man's interpretation rather than the word of God itself.
Yea, that's a no for me.
@valorthodoxia Can you show me where the Bible states that "apostolic continuity" is a requirement to be a follower of Christ?
You are just a silly troll / fraud whose main goal appears to divide Christians. Pathetic.
@Rblv73@Cath_SteelMan Common sense would also tell you that the path to salvation is perfectly simple in the Gospels and especially Romans and you don't necessarily need a church to accept and follow Christ.
