I am immensely proud of my PhD students for their efforts at the 14th Lincoln University Sport and Recreation Forum today. Congratulations to Wenfei and Haoran (right, 1st and 2nd place) and Yilong (left) - the best self-described cheer leader! Great work, team. @LincolnUniNZ

Our new paper is out now in open access. A critical review of Aotearoa's progress on the road becoming age friendly. Sustained measurement, accountability, leadership, and funding are critical for adapting our cities to demographic ageing. #healthyaging https://t.co/JR4UIYgqm1

Great to see this work published after a few research phases and COVID disruptions. Tokyo's marquee Summer Olympic and Paralympic venues (2021) show promise as sites of enduring urban legacies. Can they sustain the momentum? #Olympiclegacy@olympicmuseum

@ThePhDPlace Read the abstract, last paragraph of the intro, all of the methods, first paragraph of the discussion and limitations. If the paper is tough to read move on (unless it's critical to your work). Most of the time it is because it is poorly written.
Lots of aspirational words from @WHO on Age-friendly cities policy and progress at #INAGE2023. Let's commit to more evaluation and action in this area and be open about our limitations. We all have work to do to make Age Friendly meaningful at street level.
A fantastic session at #INAGE2023 on Age Friendly Environments. Great to hear about ongoing projects across the WHO, Akita City, UK and the US. Key takeaways for me: build capacity, share learning experiences, design for age, and have fun!
Excited to be on site in #Aichi for #INAGE2023 for the first day of Independent Ageing. Looking forward to learning and sharing with a diverse group of stakeholders in healthy and active aging.
Very impressed by my new Masters of Sport Science student, Mr Vitor Sekino. Third place in our international student poster competition after four days of official enrollment. That must be a record! Well done young scholar. @waseda_univ
We had a great time yesterday at our 2023 TGU International Symposium at @waseda_univ. Wonderful international guest speakers and excellent contributions from current and former students. Lunch with our new Masters students was certainly a highlight for me. Thanks team!
