@buzzerblog The contestant coordinators mentioned the Super Offer when I was shooting Season 2, as a way to balance out the 60% cut in the Cash Builder versus Season 1. I thought you might need 10 right to get a Super Offer, but Liz Quesnelle got 10 and didn't receive one.
@QuinnyPig@ranman you probably have some headroom in your on-prem where the regular workflow is running, so why not run them on-prem. Then you want to expand the cluster and get hit with more CapEx and the CFO tries to get you fired.
@QuinnyPig@ranman (3) Impatience/Sizing: Regular workflows require regular backfills, and people want them immediately. You could use cloud compute just for backfills, but you suffer the transfer costs and
@Cmrn_DP A more meaningful stat is something like minimum number of unreachable words in 6 guesses with adversarial play. Computing that is probably NP-hard (though the 5-letter wordle search space may be small enough that you can brute force the answer)
@Cmrn_DP I think you need to answer the 3rd question before the first—to me, “better” at wordle would mean lower expected number of guesses, counting missed words as Y guesses, where Y is some tunable factor which my prior would put between 10-50.
