In 1884, Ulysses S. Grant was dying of throat cancer and was dead broke.
His money was wiped out by a swindler who stole his fortune.
Desperate to leave something for his wife, he agreed to write his Civil War memoirs and was close to signing a contract for a meager 10% royalty.
Mark Twain stepped in, called the deal robbery and offered Grant 70% of the profits through his own publishing company.
Grant raced death to finish the book, completing it just days before he died in July 1885.
It became one of the greatest memoirs ever written.
The royalties left his widow nearly half a million dollars, about $16 million today, and the book has never gone out of print.

Say his name: JOHNNY HURLEY.
June 21, 2021 in Olde Town Arvada, Colorado.
Johnny Hurley was shopping inside the nearby Army Navy Surplus Store when he heard shots fired. He ran outside into the square with his concealed handgun, closing the distance to roughly 40 to 50 feet while instructing bystanders to get down. From this distance, Hurley fired six rounds, striking and fatally neutralizing the gunman.
We are told that moments after stopping the threat, Hurley crouched down and picked up the gunmanโs AR-15 rifle to disarm it.
Arvada Police Officer Kraig Brownlowโwho was stationed inside a nearby substation roughly 75 to 100 feet awayโmistook Hurley for an active shooter and fired the fatal shot from behind.
People of Colorado are alive today because of Hurley.
Continue to speak his name.
Continue to learn from his bravery and courage.
Continue to carry arms and train to defend life.
God bless Johnny Hurley.

โ ๏ธ MUST WATCH: An Iranian-American who escaped Sharia law just delivered a chilling testimony at a Wylie, Texas school board meeting that everyone in the West needs to see. โ
He breaks down the 3 stages of subversion happening right now:
๐โStage 1: "They come in peace... they tell you 'we just want rights.'"
๐Stage 2: Two-tier policing, Sharia courts, and pushing blasphemy laws (like what we see in the UK and Canada).
๐Stage 3: The final stage, the absolute hell of apostasy laws, executions, and hanging (like what happened to Iran).
โ"I escaped that hell hole years ago, and I am seeing the exact same thing happening right now in the United States."
Gov Ron DeSantis: โIf youโre driving on one of those streets and a mob comes and surrounds your vehicle and threatens you, you have a right to flee for your safety. And so if you drive off and you hit one of these people, thatโs their fault for impinging on you.โ
Do you agree?

This is a disgrace.
A Gulf War Marine veteran named Albert OโToole who served this country, took a blast that left him with TBI, and was later diagnosed with Alzheimerโs was beaten by his aide Matthew Cox inside the New York State Veterans Home in Montrose, New York.
His wife Angela Sangro became concerned after seeing unexplained bruises and heavy sedation. She installed a hidden camera. The footage shows the aide yanking food out of Albertโs hands, grabbing him by the neck, throwing him into a chair, punching him, and striking him in the head with a broom while he cried out in pain. No one came to help.
The state fired the abuser.
But the federal VA? Still has him employed. Still paying him while the case drags on.
You make veterans fight through hell just to get the benefits and compensation they earned with their blood and sacrifice. You move fast to cut or reduce whatโs owed to them.
But when one of your own is caught on camera assaulting a defenseless veteran? You keep him on the federal payroll like itโs nothing.
@SecVetAffairs you talk about accountability. Here it is. Fire this man from the VA now. No pay. No protection. No more dragging it out.
@SecWar our warriors come home broken from fighting for this nation. They deserve better than a system that protects abusers while making veterans fight for every dollar they earned.
@SpeakerJohnson this is on you too. Oversight without teeth is just theater. Do your job.
This isnโt how you treat the men and women who served. This is a betrayal.
Veterans FIRST.
Zero tolerance for those who abuse them.
Immediate action. No excuses.
If youโre not outraged by this, youโre not paying attention.

The @ symbol on your keyboard, which powers every email address on Earth, was invented by Catholic monks๐ป๐ฆ
In the Middle Ages, before the printing press existed, every book in Europe had to be copied out by hand. The men who did the copying were almost entirely monks, working in the scriptoriums of Catholic monasteries. They spent their days bent over parchment, writing one word at a time by candlelight.
To save time and precious parchment, the monks invented hundreds of abbreviations and shorthand symbols. One of them was the @. They created it as a shorthand for the Latin word "ad," meaning "toward" or "at," by drawing the letter "a" and curving the tail of the letter "d" around it.
The symbol survived for centuries in religious manuscripts. The earliest known use of the @ in history is found in a Christian manuscript from 1345 held today in the Vatican Apostolic Library, where it appears as the first letter of the word "Amen."
From there it spread to merchant ledgers across Europe, then to typewriters, and in 1971 it was chosen by the engineer Ray Tomlinson to separate a username from a domain in the world's first email.
A symbol born in a Catholic monastery now connects billions of people every day across the globe.
In 2016, Del Bigtree convinced a top infectious disease doctor to do something public health has avoided for decades: conduct a study comparing the health outcomes of vaxxed vs. unvaxxed children.
Dr. Marcus Zervos vowed to publish the results no matter what.
The results were devastating for the vaccinated, and Dr. Zervos ultimately chose not to publish the study.
When confronted about it, he said bluntly: โPublishing something like that, I might as well retire. Iโd be finished.โ
Hereโs what the study revealed:
โข Vaccinated children were 4.29 times more likely to have asthma.
โข Three times higher risk for atopic diseases (like eczema).
โข Nearly six times higher risk for autoimmune disorders, a category that includes more than 80 different diseases.
โข 5.5 times higher risk for neurodevelopmental disorders.
โข 2.9 times more motor disabilities.
โข 4.5 times more speech disorders.
โข Three times more developmental delays.
โข Six times more acute and chronic ear infections.
โข Among nearly 2,000 unvaccinated children, there were zero cases of ADHD, diabetes, behavioral problems, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, tics, or other psychological disorders.
The studyโs conclusion was equally striking. It states: โ[I]n contrast to our expectations, we found that exposure to vaccination was independently associated with an overall 2.5-fold INCREASE in the likelihood of developing a chronic health condition when compared to children unexposed to vaccination.โ
When science uncovers an inconvenient result, it often gets buried, or the data is twisted until it produces the outcome โThe Scienceโ wants.
How do you think Vioxx, a migraine and arthritis pain drug, made it to market?
An estimated 100,000 people died before the manufacturer (Merck) finally decided it was too dangerous to keep prescribing.
And Vioxx wasnโt an isolated case.
Roughly 1 in 3 drugs approved by the FDA get pulled or receive a major safety warning LONG AFTER they get prescribed to millions of people.
If Vioxx could be approved without the danger being flagged during trials, what else is on the market today that people assume is safe?
Perhaps the most important question is: how do they get away with rigging these trials in the first place? ๐งต
The most successful political scam in modern history is convincing people that our future depends on separating ourselves by race.
We have race-based caucuses, race-based programs, race-based holidays, race-based activism, and race-based grievance politics.
And somehow weโre supposed to believe this makes us less divided.
The answer to racism isnโt more racial categories. Itโs teaching every American that our history belongs to all of us.
Stop dividing us into tribes.
Stop treating race as the most important thing about a person.
And start celebrating what actually matters: Weโre all Americans first.
