@clcazer And it looks like this is the direction being recommended - though I still find it strange that the message is still inconsistent - "Everyone should wear - but only if you're in a high activity area" - leaves it open to interpretation. Only really works if everyone does it.
This supports (does not prove) what I've believed about non-N95 mask use (i.e. cloth masks) - that they work best if YOU are ill to protect others. Good read, all around.
@clcazer Still, the goodwill behind the creation and use of homemade cloth masks is something I AM optimistic about - because it shows people are thinking of others and wanting to help - I'm hoping for a sea change that this lasts past the acute phase of the pandemic!
@clcazer As a non-healthcare worker, but having spent days in ICU settings wearing surgical masks and experiencing their discomfort, loose fit and how quickly they become damp and less effective, it's a pessimistic thought, I know.
